Testing Results for Markers & Fabric Paints
All fabric markers were tested by pouring a small
amount of rubbing alcohol on each sample.
Three brands of alcohol based
marking pens were used in
this test, the Sharpie Permanent,
Bic Mark-It, and Idendt-I pens.
Small amound of alcohol were
added over each letter, all the
results except for the bleeding is
a different color with the
various brands.
It is VERY MESSY!

Almost impossible heat set.
The green scribbling to the left is also with an alcohol based marked.
The results were very unexpected - YELLOW -  Very Suprised!
So one really does not know what the outcome can be.
Pigment Based Fabric Markers

WE worked with the three brands
shown on the right.  Also placed the alcohol
on them as well - with no effects.

Thesse markers are great used alone
or with fabric paints.  One can outline a design
with black, and fill in the centers with any color.
We do recommend you test these on scrap
fabrics to see if the run onto the next color.
